40-Gbit/s RZ-DPSK Wavelength Conversion Using Four-Wave Mixing in a Quantum Dot SOA

Abstract

We demonstrate, for the first time, all-optical wavelength conversion of 40-Gbit/s RZ-DPSK signal using four-wave mixing in a quantum dot semiconductor optical amplifier. We achieved error-free operations with high conversion performances.
