Development of Novel Cicada-Resistant Optical Drop Cable

Abstract

By observation of cicada ovipositor’s movement, we found that tensile strength and hardness of sheath material are effective against cicada attack.. And also, we have newly designed the optical drop cable with cicada-resistant sheath material.
