An optical microfiber Sagnac interferometer with adjustable transmission

Abstract

A Sagnac interferometer based on an optical microfiber is demonstrated. It shows good adjustability of transmission, which enables it to be used as linear edge filter, optical variable attenuator, or gain flattening filter.
