Nonlinear pulse processing in High Index Glass Integrated devices: pulse compression

Abstract

Sub-ps pulse compression is demonstrated by using an integrated nonlinear chirper based on an integrated, low loss, low dispersion, high index glass (Hydex®) spiral waveguide. Compressions of 40% are demonstrated for peak power around 100W.
