Novel OSA-Based Method for In-Band OSNR Measurement

Abstract

A new approach for in-band OSNR measurements in narrow DWDM channels is described, which is robust to PMD and enables rapid measurement of accurate OSNR values of >20 dB without need for polarization extinction.
