A simple group velocity dispersion measurement method by RF spectral periodic pulse timing variation characterization

Abstract

By measuring the dispersion-induced periodic pulse timing variation with a wavelength-swept pulse light source and a RF spectrum analyzer, the fiber group velocity dispersion can be determined with excellent accuracy.
