DPSK Data Quality Dependencies in Microring-Based Transmitter and Receiver

Abstract

Ultra small DPSK (de)modulators at 10 Gb/s, using silicon based microrings, are proposed. Data quality of the microring based DPSK is greatly dependent on operation conditions that can be optimized to improve eye opening by up to 7 dB.
