Abstract

Radio-over-Fiber signal transmission in Stimulated-Brillouin-Scattering (SBS)-limited systems is investigated. We found that SBS threshold is identical for 3G-RoF links and CW transmission and demonstrate that laser current modulation or increased SBS threshold fiber improves performance.
