Synchronous Clock Pumping to Improve Performance of All-optical Wavelength Conversion for RZ-DPSK Based on Four-Wave Mixing in SOA

Abstract

Synchronous clock pumping is proposed to improve the performance of all optical wavelength conversion based on four-wave mixing effect in semiconductor optical amplifier. About 3dB improvement in output power is achieved for RZ-DPSK format.
