Using FEC Code for Improving the WDM/SCM - PON Performance

Abstract

For improving the performance of the most cost-efficient WDM/SCM-PON, the way how to choose a FEC code is descripbed. The choosing methods are a code rate and hard resource size. A RS code is best suitable.
