A Survivable WDM PON with Alternate-Path Switching

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a survivable WDM PON with simple ONUs. By employing our proposed alternate-path switching scheme, traffic can be restored promptly under feeder and distribution fiber link failures as well as the AWG failure in the RN simultaneously.
