Abstract

For the first time, we demonstrate a coherent OCDMA experiment using differential phase-shift-keyed (DPSK) data format with balanced detection. More active users could be accommodated in DPSK-OCDMA due to its better tolerance to multiple access interference (MAI) and coherent beat noise.
