Dynamic optical signal processing via a recirculating loop

Abstract

A highly reconfigurable optical signal processing circuit is introduced and implemented experimentally. The circuit utilizes a recirculating loop to implement a lattice filter of adjustable order. The response can be tuned to approximate a desired transfer matrix.
