Abstract

Current networking, network management and service engineering activities tend to use plethora of diversified technologies, protocols and interfaces. There are more and more instances of individual products from individual vendors, being managed in isolation. Such instances are known as ‘silos of management’. As the number of silos becomes larger and larger, management of the network across multiple domains is becoming an overwhelming task.
