On the Application of the Transfer Matrix Method to Integrated Optics Simulations

Abstract

We present an algorithm based on the transfer matrix method to calculate filter responses in integrated optical circuits. Its application to deep-etched Bragg mirrors is demonstrated and it is compared with other methods.
