Growth of quasi-phase matched ZnSe for mid-IR frequency conversion

Abstract

Unseeded growth of high purity ZnSe single crystals (up to one cubic centimeter) by chemical and physical vapor transport was achieved. Orientation-patterned GaAs templates were designed and grown for seeded growth of quasi-phase matched ZnSe.
