Narrow Linewidth Midinfrared Frequency Combs from Doubly-Resonant OPOs

Abstract

We generate broadband midinfrared frequency combs with a doubly-resonant optical parametric oscillator (OPO). When non-degenerate, the OPO can be optically referenced. When degenerate, the OPO can operate passively with sub-Hz relative linewidth.
