Abstract

Spatially resolved electron energy loss spectroscopy experiments have given the measurement of the electromagnetic eigenmodes of individual metallic nanoparticles. The Electromagnetic Local Density of States has been measured with c.a 10 nm spatial accuracy over the whole near-infrared/ultraviolet regime.
