Evaluation of Effective Electric Permittivity and Magnetic Permeability in Metamaterial Parallel Slab and Importance of the skin effect

Abstract

We evaluate effective optical constants of the phosphor bronze wire grid using the terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. Evaluated results show a Drude-like electric permittivity with a plasma frequency reduced by 10-3, and an unexpected magnetic permeability.
