Bandgap guidance in two-dimensional light-induced photonic lattices

Abstract

We report the demonstration of two-dimensional square-shaped and ringshaped photonic lattices optically-induced with a single-site negative defect. Bandgap guidance of light in such a defect is observed in experiment and studied in theory.
