Abstract

A high power terahertz radiation source based on femtosecond electron beam from a linear accelerator was accomplished at Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics (SINAP). It provides a tunable frequency range from 0.3 to 3THz, with average power up to 1.2W and peak power about 0.6MW, which will lead to various new applications in many fields.
