Widely Tunable Optical Transmitter Using an Integrated V-Cavity Laser and Mach-Zehnder Modulator

Abstract

We report a tunable optical transmitter using an integrated V-cavity laser and Mach-Zehnder modulator. Wavelength tuning of 28 channels is obtained and over 15dB DC extinction ratio is realized under 4.5V reverse bias voltage.
