Towards Attosecond Science with Industrial-Grade Lasers

Abstract

Rotational nonlinearity of molecular gases can be harnessed to generate more than two octaves of bandwidth and compress 280 fs, 400 µJ pulses from a commercial Yb:KGW laser amplifier to 1.6 cycles for attosecond pulse generation.
