High-Performance Silicon Nitride Fork-shape Edge Coupler

Abstract

We propose a fork-shape edge coupler based on silicon nitride for silicon photonic platform. The coupler exhibits low coupling loss, compact size and relaxed misalignment tolerance for both TE and TM modes.
