Gemstone Screening and Identification Using Fluorescence Spectroscopy

Abstract

We demonstrate a fluorescence spectroscopy based gemstone screening system. The fluorescence features can be used to separate mined diamonds from lab-grown diamonds and diamond simulants, detect treated pink diamonds, and identify certain gemstones.
