Femtosecond Pulse Propagation through Large Mode Area Tapered Fiber at 1.06 μm Wavelength

Abstract

We demonstrate femtosecond pulse propagation through large mode area tapered fiber at 1.06 μm wavelength. We obtain compression, soliton like propagation and dispersion of ultra-short pulses which can be utilized in spectroscopy and medical applications.
