Quasi-monoenergetic Electron Beams from Mid-IR Laser Wakefield Acceleration in the Bubble Regime

Abstract

We present simulation results of laser plasma wakefield acceleration in the bubble regime driven by ultrashort mid-infrared laser pulses (30fs, λ=3.9μm, 3×1017 W/cm2). We observe a quasi-monoenergetic accelerated electron bunch at ~20MeV.
