Periodic suppression and enhancement of spontaneous two-photon emission via interference

Abstract

An effective periodic boundary condition can be introduced to spontaneous parametric down-conversion by using a continuous-wave multi-mode pump. We show this effect can result in periodic suppression and enhancement of spontaneous two-photon emission via interference.
