Abstract

Motivated by index-tuning-to-loss tradeoff dictated by fundamental Kramers-Kronig relations, this work demonstrates a comprehensive analysis for high-performance compact on-chip electro-optic modulators for a selected set of active materials and optical waveguide modes.
