Abstract

The Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS) is an X-ray Free Electron Laser that generates ultrafast x-ray pulses for myriad science experiments. A planned upgrade (LCLS-II) will extend the energy range to 25 keV and increase the average intensity by 104.
