Light Scattering Spectroscopy of Nanosilica Particles Aggregating in Single, Freely Suspended Micrometer-Sized Evaporating Droplet

Abstract

The light scattering spectroscopy of single, freely suspended, micrometer-sized evaporating droplet was developed. We report a well-pronounced change in the visible spectrum of the nanosilica suspension corresponding to different stages of aggregate formation.
