Numerical Modeling of a Mode Selective Photonic Lanterns using the Beam Propagation Method

Abstract

A mode selective photonic lantern, which is able to generate the LP01, LP11a and LP11b modes with a linear taper, is modeled using the beam propagation method. Modal analysis is also estimated.
