Mode Conversion of Four-Mode Fiber with CO2-Laser Written Long-Period Fiber Gratings

Abstract

We demonstrate the mode conversion between the fundamental core mode and different higher-order core modes of four-mode fiber with high efficiency of more than 98.5% by the CO2-laser written long-period fiber gratings.
