Attosecond Electron Response in Nanoscale Interfaces

Abstract

A subcycle of intense laser light can force an electron to travel over nanometer lengthscales. We employ this ultrafast control of attosecond electron dynamics as key ingredient of nanoscale devices potentially operating at optical bandwidth.
