Direct Mapping of Optical Near Field Forces from Plasmonic Nano-tweezers

Abstract

Near field optical forces from a plasmonic nano-aperture shows great promise to directly trap biological specimens in nano-meter dimensions. Here we directly map optical forces through a nano coaxial tweezer using atomic force microscopy.
