Hydrogel Coated Fiber Bragg Grating Based pH Sensor

Abstract

Fiber Bragg grating based pH sensor is proposed. A pH responsive hydrogel which swells in presence of pH media is utilized for the study. The sensor head is subjected to different pH solutions ranging from pH 1 to pH 7. A linear increase of wavelength shift is observed.
