Measurements of the optical anisotropy parameters of CaF2, BaF2 and SrF2 crystals

Abstract

The material constant – optical anisotropy parameter ξ of CaF2, BaF2 and SrF2 crystals was measured at three wavelengths. The orientation of the crystallographic axes corresponding to minimum value of the thermally induced depolarization was obtained.
