Engineering Parametric Down-conversion in Multimode Nonlinear Waveguides

Abstract

We discuss intermodal dispersion as a versatile tool to control photon pairs produced in chi(3) waveguides, present experimental generation of spatially pure photons exhibiting high-visibility nonclassical interference, and describe schemes to produce spatial entanglement.
