Abstract

Experiments within the field of atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics have made it possible to directly observe the non-equilibrium dynamics of many-body quantum states in almost perfectly isolated and controlled environments [1]. Of particular interest is dynamics in spin-models, which can for example be realized in experiments with polar molecules [2, 3] or alkaline earth atoms [4] in optical lattices or in setups with ions in traps of one [5, 6] or two-dimensional [7] geometry.
