Independent Tunable Band Pass Filter in Terahertz Regime

Abstract

In this work, using choleseric liquid crystal, we demonstrate a polarization independent tunable THz band pass filter based on one-dimensional photonic crystal cavity. A Terahertz tunable band pass filter with 85GHz of stop band and 11GHz of 3dB transmission bandwidth at 420GHz is demonstrated.
