Abstract

Ultrafast charge rearrangement and nuclear dynamics in multiphoton inner-shell ionization of molecules by free-electron laser radiation are studied employing coincident momentum spectroscopy. Signatures of interatomic relaxation processes during molecular fragmentation are observed in time-resolved experiments.
