Extremely Non-Degenerate Two-Photon Emission in Direct-Gap Semiconductors

Abstract

We perform a theoretical and experimental study of extreme nondegenerate two-photon stimulated emission in bulk GaAs. We calculate two-photon gain coefficient for various photon energies. A three beam experiment is conducted to observe two-photon gain.
