Abstract

Real-time spectroscopy was applied to monitor gold nanoparticles generated during laser ablation of gold films immersed in Rhodamine 6G dye solution. This technique overcomes the shortcomings of offline methods of characterizing laser-material interactions and nanoparticle generation.
