Quantum Information and Nonlinear Optics: Together at Last?

Abstract

Controllably entangling single photons is the key requirement for photonic quantum information. We review solutions to this problem—which range from no nonlinearity through to full cavity-QED—and recent progress which suggests modest nonlinearities may be enough.
