High Bandwidth Optical Magnetometry with a Micromachined Vapor Cell

Abstract

We describe an optical magnetometer that retains its sensitivity within a bandwidth of 10 kHz. The device relies on laser spectroscopy of alkali atoms contained in a 2 mmX 1mmX 1mm micromachined vapor cell.
