Abstract

Simultaneous fluorescence intensity and lifetime fluctuations are observed in single molecules of Allophycocyanin in solution, allowing observation of different photophysical processes which suggest conformational heterogeneity. An electrokinetic trap that cancels Brownian motion enables solution-phase measurement.
