Nano-scale Spectroscopy with Ultra-high-Q Monolithic Optical Resonators

Abstract

A unique and challenging new direction in spectroscopy is realized by using ultra-low-loss monolithic optical resonators to probe monolayers, thin films, and nano-scale materials. Achievements, optical designs, and future challenges will be discussed.
