Review of Operating Terrestrial Gravitational Wave Detectors

Abstract

Several km-long interferometric gravitational wave detectors are now in operation, including the LIGO detectors in the US. I will describe their configurations, and show their sensitivities, better than 10−18m/√Hz in a 50Hz–2kHz frequency band.
