Nonlinear optical properties of a colloid containing silver sub-nanoparticles

Abstract

Time response and third-order susceptibility of a colloid containing silver sub-nanoparticles were studied. A giant optical nonlinearity and an oscillating response function were observed. The analysis of sub-nanoparticle response was based on a molecular approach.
