Abstract

In this work the repetition rate of passively Q-switched laser was increased up to 1 kHz by the use of Sapphire plate attached to a single Nd:YVO4 crystal. Additional heating of the crystal enabled increase the peak power of the passively Q-switch laser from 21 kW up to 245 kW for a 100 Hz operation and from 37 kW up to 190 kW for 1 kHz operation.
